An Egyptian storyteller who has worked with Megawra for the past seven years to design and implement storytelling shows inspired by the heritage and oral history of the Caliphate region. In addition to her work with Megawra, Shireen Al-Ansari has participated in many international festivals, and has taught in many workshops in Egypt, France, Lebanon and Syria. Shireen Al-Ansari is a PhD candidate in Philosophy at Goldsmiths College London.

About the talk

This talk was about the art of story-telling, which most of us used to experience it  when we were children hearing stories from our grandmothers, and how this art is important to learn and grow our imagination. we also discussed how this art is being abandoned lately, and how thad has a bad influence on the memory of the city and our personal memories as well. we discussed the skills that the story-teller should have. and passed by Chirine's journey and the different places and cases that she performed at. On stages and live in contexts, In and outside Egypt.
